About Tom McCormack
Welcome to excellence in story theater and ethnic music. Tom brings 22 years experience as a venue versatile performing artist. During his presentations, a host of dialoging characters come to life.
The story master presents a mixture of animated storytelling, ethnic music, with natural sound effects. McCormack integrates mime and pantomime through spontaneous originality. His presentations bring audiences to their feet as they laugh out of their seats, getting cramps in their dimples. This performer presents international cultural tales as he plays music on a different ethnic instrument with each story from a different country. All of his programs contain colorful dialoging character portrayals.
Why did McCormack get into storytelling? Tom is concerned that children are not thinking for themselves and getting their own experiences. From his long and happy childhood, Tom observed that today's children are being robbed of their future. Through the influence of excessive computer games, video games, virtual reality, TV and videos children are not socially interacting or thinking for themselves. In contemporary life, many parents are aware that a child's creativity is stunted by constant neon stimuli.
Listening to stories is a proven way for children to enhance their reading, writing and *communication skills. It insures quality family life and improves community relations.
* state and federal department of education statistics prove that the greatest deficiency in education is a students inability to express ideas. (see speech/debate/social skills)
